Step 1 of 5 - About you
Which legal system do you consider home?
Usually where you grew up or where your permanent roots are - this determines which succession law applies to you.
Where do you currently live?
Step 2 of 5 - Your family
What is your relationship status?
Do you have children or other dependants?
Step 3 of 5 - Executors & guardians
Have you decided who would act as your executor?
Your executor carries out the instructions in your will. We recommend a primary and a substitute.
If you have children under 18, have you chosen a guardian?
Step 4 of 5 - Your estate
Where are your assets held?
Bank accounts, investments, pensions and property.
Do you own property?
Do you have business interests, or would you estimate your total estate above £500,000?
Do you hold any assets in the UAE?
Step 5 of 5 - Your details

Your Assessment
A note on Scots law: as you indicated Scotland as your home legal system, be aware that Scottish succession rules differ from the rest of the UK - including automatic "legal rights" for a spouse and children, and different rules on how marriage affects an existing will. We will cover this in your consultation.
